“Modelling & Analysis of Energy Systems”

About the workshop

This workshop is designed to impart modelling and analytical skills and tools for carrying out in-depth assessments of a wide variety of energy conversion systems. Eminent personalities from IITs, NITs, IIEST and other reputed institutions and universities will share their research experience and expertise and will guide the scholars and budding researchers in their quest for knowledge and new methodologies.

Tentative lecture topics:

First law analysis of energy systems
Exergetics and its applications to energy conversion
Thermo-economic and exergo-economic assessments
Environmental impact assessment
Life cycle analysis (LCA) and Life cycle cost Analysis (LCCA)
4E/5E/6E analysis of energy systems

Themes of poster competition:

Improve combustion efficiency for process heating devices operating on solid fuels.
Reduce carbon emissions from solid fuel fired process boilers/heat exchangers.
Enhance heat transfer in process heaters (boilers, heat exchangers etc.).
Design sustainable energy generating systems (WHRB/ORC boilers, etc.).

The event has free registration.
