How to reach
The nearest airport is Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport (CCU), Kolkata, which is 28 km from the institute campus. From the airport one can hire a pre-paid taxi or any app cab for IIEST, Shibpur. It will take about 45 minutes to one hour.
The nearest railway stations are Howrah (6.5 km) & Shalimar (1 km). From Howrah railway station, one can reach the venue by bus or taxi (approx. Rs. 150/- per passenger).

Eco-Excursion
A short eco-excursion or a river-cruise on the nearby Ganges river may be organized on 13th Sept, 2025, Saturday, in case a good number of attendees opt for the same.
The day-long eco-excursion might include visits to places in and around Kolkata, the City of Joy. Itinerary will most likely include Victoria Memorial, Indian Museum, Science City and Eco-Park. In case of river cruise, the visitors will be able to witness the beauty of the Botanical Garden and Millennium Park apart from having a look at the famous Belur Moth and the Dakshineswar Temple.
